PRoduct Design
I've always believed that the most important factors of product design are form and function, a product should proform as well as it looks. One without the other creates a product with a short lifespan and we as designers should be conscious of our products, before, during, and after their life in the users' hands.
Guarden is a start-up based out of Ottawa, Canada, developing products for the child-safe marijuana market which is growing in Canada at an unbelievable rate. We were approached by Guarden to make a child/pet-safe humidor for marijuana products.
I was lucky enough to be the sole designer on this project, it is still ongoing and still teaches me about the world surround the design part of my job. I've been a part of the whole process: Conceptual design, mechanical design, Prototyping, manufacturing, Marketing/ business meetings, as well as pitching new ideas for the company purely out of excitement for the products.

In addition to the humidor, I pitch two other products to the client to add to their product family, creating a product line to build the brand off of and reaching new markets at different price points.
(The names displayed on the product have been changed since the making of this clip)
ZUP has been a long-time client of Studio63 and personally one of the best clients I've had the opportunity to work for. Their products are new, innovative, functional, and just about the most fun you can have on the water. For ZUP I worked on everything from concepts, prototypes, and testing, to graphics for both websites and catalogs.
DOUBLE-ZUP HANDLE
"Inspired by the desire to see everyone on our boat be successful while learning how to ride, ZUP grew out of that need to make sure everyone could participate in watersports. Daydreaming in the garage led to prototypes made from wood (don't worry, we wore helmets!), and ultimately into the brand ZUP that everyone knows and loves today. Quality, safety, and functionality are what drives us to design products that work well for all ages and abilities" - ZUP
